pausing is ok, but why not put your charcater in a area not to get hurt. i understand in T-Head you cant leave ya charcter, but i doubt there arent't ragequitter or let say [email protected] who will say "o lets unpause the game lets take them". True some people are patient but a pause button doubt it.

It is somewhat intriguing however even when a cut-scene happens things still happen like some idiot went to it too fast so something is attacking someone and can't be stopped until afterwards. With henchies it's different but it would be highly difficult to implement it when it's only usedwith henchies.
As interesting is it seems it just doesn't seem that it's worth trying to make it possible.

What is the need for a pause anyway? If you have an option for everyone to 'vote' for a pause, nobody would vote until your characters are out of danger..at which point you won't need to pause, you can just go afk (and letting people know of course).

Its an interesting idea nonetheless however.

Stop playing in PUGs.
That advice is for everybody. Just stop it. PUGs suck.

Well I personally like this idea. Me and my friends from guilds, and whatever some times like to take breaks with henchmen. I think this would be useful, that way when we're done we can come back in like 30 min or so after we've given our brains a short rest or went to go eat or whatever.

Given that GW uses instancing this shouldn't be a major problem. If you are soloing with henchmen then I can't see any reason why pausing (in an instanced area) would not be possible. When you have real players in your group it's more tricky, but some kind of "pause request" screen where players can vote (like you have for skipping cut-scenes) could work - if everyone agrees the game is paused for a short time, which has to be continually renewed. This would allow people to have short breaks (grab a beer, answer phone) without having to leave the game, ruining it for everyone.

very very VERY nice idea.
